Fall of Eden has taken a different road than most Chicago-area bands, staying away from what is known as popular music. Formed late in 2002, four young teens from Woodridge, IL set out to create a unique and enjoyable musical experience. Drawing inspiration from works of many bands ranging from Iron Maiden to Converge, Lamb of God to Mars Volta they have produced a unique blend of hardcore, metal and alternative rock that is a breathe of fresh air to the music community.

Originally under the name Last Standing, the boys started practicing with former drummer Mike Block. Many local shows soon followed and they began picking up a cult following. But as the band began to grow Mike didn’t with the band so Ray was brought in to help take them in the direction they wanted to go. As the music changed so did the name, Fall of Eden was chosen. Being that their music fits into many genres the boys could play shows with a wide range of music. The band works together to create a sonically mystifying experience an impressive sound that many bands struggled to create. Unlike many bands that are either all screaming or all singing, Fall of Eden makes sure to have a healthy blend of both; Russ’ thick buzz-saw bass lines create an awe-inspiring in your face sound that is a perfect balance to Taylor and Jason’s beautifully harmonizing melodic guitars complete with heavy breaks and solos, while Raymond’s drumming drives the band always forward with sharp attacks and heavy bottom. These elements have caught the attention of many in the local community and always bring many to shows to see and hear what Fall of Eden is all about.
