Synergy has now arrived - heralded by a growing number as the best party in London, if not the UK, for it's diverse creativity, high production standards, a friendly and relaxed, unpretentious crowd and for the constantly evolving nature of the project - no two Synergies are ever the same, with new organisations, artists campaigners teaming up with veterans to produce inspiring new collaborations. Above all, Synergy stands aside from the hedonism and consumption of conventional club-land with the ever present intent of raising awareness of contemporary environmental, political and spiritual issues, generating a strong sense of purpose and a feeling of being part of something bigger, and more meaningful, than the isolated individual.

Synergy is an environmental and cultural information network, creating spaces where those working on the cutting edge of cultural and social expression combine, using a variety of media, to conceive a place where creative energies are liberated and the spiritual dimension of our lives is unveiled. The shortcomings and damaging consequences of unfettered consumerism and material acquisition are becoming increasingly apparent, particularly in the areas of the erosion of social cohesion, the degradation of the environment and the exacerbation of global inequalities. Synergy therefore aims to harness the power of the creative media used by leading artists and producers working in alternative festivals and dance culture to broadcast messages sourced from non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working in the field of holistic ecological, development and cultural education. Moving beyond the limitations of protest politics, the project seeks to work in partnership with established authorities to empower and develop individuals and communities to solve contemporary social problems by adopting ethical and sustainable patterns of material and cultural production and consumption and by promoting constructive alternatives to increasingly discredited institutions, ideologies and technologies. Synergy therefore brings together diverse people who find common cause in the principle that global issues can be tackled at a community level, by stimulating and facilitating creativity and independence, promoting sustainability through education and by example. Synergy also seeks to harness cross-cultural approaches in taking inspiration from non-western, non-industrial cultures to reappraise orthodox western concepts of progress and civilisation to embrace post-material and spiritual aspects human existence.
