This group is NOT for people who want to sit on the couch and send money or just talk about doing something to make them feel better about themselves. This is for the people who actually want to DO something to help others. You don't have to have money to help, all you need is to spend time in the proper places. The goal of this group is for people to uncover ideas in their local communities all around the world and for other people to pitch in time and resources to make it happen. But the first thing we need to do is get the idea out there and invite people. Then post some ideas and let it go. I have to believe there's enough good people on MySpace to make this work - I can't do it all myself.

The short term goal of the group is to get membership to 10,000 by the end of the year. The more people we have the more opportunities we can uncover and access to more people who can help. So please invite people!

Please do not post Topics or Bulletins with the following: ads for goods and services that are not related directly to this group, solicitations to other groups, or Add Me!

Three things you can do:

1. Invite Others
2. Post a Topic if you know of a project that needs help
3. Post a Topic if you are willing to help (where/when/how long/special skills)

Also if you get a chance please check out the most recent program I'm working with called the “ Pay It Forward Project ” assisting individuals living in developing nations with disaster relief, providing food, clothing, shelter, educational materials and items to provide means to earning an income. Please visit www.payitforwardproject.org for more info.
