Classic Hip Hop was started by A-tone, the Hip Hop Historian and Easy A.D. of the legendary Cold Crush Brothers. The idea is to set up a community working to build institutions that close the gap between generations of Hip Hop enthusiasts. In this group, Hip Hop will be defined on the basis of a consensus from the pioneers, icons and new artists that fit the profile of Classic Hip Hop Artists, with DJs, MCs, B-boys/B-girls and Grafitti Artists as the starting point. For example, the Cold Crush is classic, while Jurassic 5 also fits the profile of a classic Hip Hop group.
