A group for musicians and music lovers in the Triangle area of North Carolina (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill). Talk about music, post photos of bands you've seen, post bulletins for your shows and links to your music.
About your moderator: I've been writing about local music for years in various outlets. I like to go out to local rock shows, take photos and Quicktime movies and post them on my
blog. I also have a
Flickr photo set, to which I will be adding photos from local shows I go to.
If you have a local music blog or Web site outside of myspace, let me know, and I'll provide a link to it here. Also, I'm trying to provide links to local media and clubs. If I miss something, please message me, or
send me an e-mail and I'll make the add. Y'all need to be active on here for this group to work. I can't do it alone!
All styles are welcome. I personally tend to like more hard rock and metal (with a little dancehall and reggaeton thrown in), so that's probably what I'll be writing about personally, but regardless of the style, if it's Triangle-related, it has a home here.
A NOTE ABOUT PHOTOS: I love taking pictures of local bands, but I am NOT a photographer. I will happily provide links to people who actually are photographers (or who just have good Flickr sets), and I encourage everyone to start posting their own photos here.
