Giant Water Balloon Fight!

Group for the planning of a Giant Water Balloon Fight to take place on or around the first day of summer in Love Park. The inspiration came from that Nike commercial, but what a fun idea.
We cannot enter into alliances until we are acquainted with the designs of our neighbors. - Sun Tzu

Since this group grew quickly in one day, I made a list of the "original" members (those that hopped on within 24 hours) and will consider us the planning comission. We will be responsible for the final say on how this particular activity is executed... but, suggestions will be considered by the group as a whole.

Some things to consider:
  • Do we want this to be a planned, public charity event?

  • Do we want this to be a stealth social networking event?

  • Should it be organized by teams or a free-for-all?

  • ...and what should our nickname be? GWBF sounds too 'personal ad'...

  • In addition to all that, the group will also be planning other "play-oriented" activities that don't necessarily revolve around 'the bar' but may begin and/or end there. For example:
  • A huge game of Manhunt (Freedom, Ghosts In The Graveyard - depending which neighborhood you grew up in) encompassing only certain city blocks, teams denoted by armbands.

  • "Suicide", "Wall Ball", etc.

  • Paintball Rittenhouse Square anyone? Sounds good, but probably not...

  • And possibly a variety of daytrips to local attractions like snowboarding, Tubing down the Delaware, etc.

  • But, in the end, we are mostly about this giant water balloon fight thing.

    Besos, Fellow Ballooners!
