.. Zombies walking dead through the streets of milwaukee. May 31, 2008, the third rising of the dead. Join us as we tear the town apart, spreading the infection, death and drunkeness.

First stop: We bring it back to the VIEW. The newly opened Sugar Maple, 411 E. Lincoln, Milwaukee, WI, at Lincoln and KK.

So yes, you do have to dress like a zombie. Those who do not do so are welcome, but risk having their brains eaten by confused zombies. You have to admit - they're not all that smart, but they know a good living brain when they smell it.

Potentially useful things to keep in mind

Causes of zombie-ness:

As everyone knows - or should know - zombies are usually
attributable to one or more of the following:

1. voodoo
2. science gone astray - chemical or biological accidents, experiments, viruses and the like
3. the apocalypse

Of course, there are many more possibilties. Be creative. Corpses in all stages of decay are encouraged.

For the low-budget zombie:

1. Oatmeal and liquid latex works wonders.
2. Food coloring and corn syrup makes convincing blood, but sticky. However, also tasty.
3. Value Village - but I'm sure it's hardly necessary to mention that.

The rules

1. Do obey traffic laws. Go when the light says go , stop when it says stop . I agree it is pretty exciting running out into the street and scaring drivers to a screeching halt , but just dont do it. Although it would be funny ,I don't want to see anyone get hit by a car .

2. Dont block traffic! Police might interfere and make us disperse. We will be traveling in a very large group that will likely spill over the sidewalk. When that starts to happen, it's alright to grab a few of your ghoulish brethren and go to the other side of the street.

3. Do not impede sales at any business en route. By all means stare hungrily at people inside of shops and restaurants, but please dont leave bloody handprints on their windows!

4. Do find Zombie friendly businesses. If you know anyone along any of the Zombie walk route, makeit known , so that we can give them some extra attention.

5. Do not harass anyone who isnt getting a kick out of the experience! Not everyone will know whats going on , or find it as amusing as we will . I'm not saying that I would mind seeing some kid cry, I just don't want some cofused redneck getting his first headshot , just to put some Zombie down .

Finally: As mentioned previously - zombies are only really effective when travelling together in large groups. Bring your friends, foes, family and other loved ones.

Spread the virus . (that means tell somebody )
