Founded in 1963 The Orange County Mineralogical Society has been dedicated to the dissemination of a general knowledge of the mineralogical and related earth sciences through the study and collecting of mineral specimens through a series of periodic field trips and lectures. Currently Projects are underway at our meeting place in Museum Village in Monroe to Establish a permanent workshop, State Mineral Exhibit and learning place for the Enthusiast and curious that routinely visit this treasure trove of our regions history. Membership in the list discussions is open to anyone. Participation on most of the field trips requires that you be a member of an A.F.M.S accredited rock club.
