The idea of this group is to network serious photographers without the overflow of snapshot posts from the point & shoot digicam user. If you own an SLR (Single-Lens Reflex) camera and have a serious desire to learn, share your photos, and/or discuss related topics then this group is for you!

Theory: It is my belief that limiting this groups content to only SLR related subject will rule out the conventional point and shoot photographer as it is a very slim chance that someone will invest in SLR photography or film if they are not serious about it. There will be posts with photos that some of us may not appreciate but at least the person behind that post most likely has a serious desire to learn considering the fact they were willing to invest in an SLR camera or the price of film. Some of us are more or less knowledgeable about certain subjects than others and we will be able to benifit from sharing constuctive critisisms and ideas.

If you own a TLR, Rangefinder, Polaroid, Holga, or Lomo you are more than welcome to post those photos here as well.

Notice to Point and Shoot users:
The pictures a camera takes are an extension of your creative intent and knowledge you have of your camera and the subject. You may take beautiful pictures with your P&S digicam but the point I am getting at is few people are willing to haggle with their P&S and try suck the most they can out of it, and yet it is still limited. In general, the person who really and truly desires to be a photographer and integrate it in their life will most likely not be using a P&S.
