This group is for all women who wish to join us in the Red Tent Tribe. This group has been created for all women regardless of ethnicity, creed, sexual preference, sexual orientation or spritual path. This space is also reserved for women who were born women and women who were not. We welcome our transisters.

WHY WE STARTED THIS:
The Red Tent has been created for Pagan Women and represents Women's traditional sense of solidarity. We have been creating a festival womb space. All those who wish to visit the 5th largest pagan festival is the US may use the Red Tent as a helpful tool in networking and making friends. We want you to help us as we plan for the next festival ahead. Samhain 2007 is just a few months away!!!

HOW WE CAME TO BE:

The Women's Circle attendees of Samhain 2004 at the Florida Pagan Gathering agreed upon setting aside an area to share a cup of coffee or tea with their festival sisters. This became a place to act as a link between festivals and events in support and fellowship. This is also an active place for planning future events together that will celebrate womenhood. It is the hope that along with conversations about our favorite books and shared moments we could keep our "earthy stories and passionate history" alive for future generations of women. Let us work together to weave a strong fabric for this tradition that will comfort our hearts and minds and keep our bodies alive under the protection and warmth of the Red Tent.

The Red Tent is an idea that has been inspired by the best-selling novel of author Anita Diamant.
