Registration of participants for a May 2006 “HipHopOsium” symposium on holistic health/healthy sexuality through HipHop.
The purpose of the event is to engage athletes, artists, youth and the adults in their communities in the grassroots development of an education program addressing holistic health, interpersonal violence prevention, drug and alcohol awareness and other health and safety issues that the participants identify.

An intergenerational symposium on health through Hip Hop culture will offer trainings to educate and provide tools around healthy sexuality, violence, and drugs. We will feature activities by local and popular artists along with workshops, resources, and resource kits which promote health and safety, as well as access to community resources.
All participants (youth, community gatekeepers, and athletes) of the HipHopOsium project will be provided with trainings, tools and resources necessary to attain both individual holistic health as well as that of their community.
