Equality Now's mission is in its name. This pro-gay rights MySpace group's main focus is to raise awareness in the gay community about ways that we can, as a community, achieve equality among our peers regardless of our differences in sexual orientation. Equality Now happens to be the MySpace equivalent to an actual group based out of Wisconsin. The reason for taking Equality Now on-line is in hopes that with time this group's network can allow for rapid announcements of protest rallies, ease the process of petition signings, and overall better inform us of what is happening in our community. Equality Now strives for professionalism in our actions, unlike some other pro-gay groups where straight bashing has become a norm. By conducting our selves in a mature way, our voice can be taken seriously.
