The Verbal Artist is a Poetry Forum community created by The poet Ladessa Sullivan aka CandyAcidReign and this is just a branch of a well established group, full of fantastic poets.
The My Space Group is basically an extension of the forum community. Just like the Forum we are based in artistry but welcome non-artist and all discussions on any and all topics. The group page you are currently viewing can be used to make announcements, chit chat with The Verbal Artist, Talk about anything that's on your mind regaurding any and all topics including entertainment, the arts, publishing, relations, philosophy, societal issues, vents, rants, images, audio, my space, jokes, random blurbs, advice or questions (if you're a beginner poet), Network or promote the forum community or promote yourself. If you do not wish to join the actual forum just yet or you are under the age of 18 and can not join, then you can join this group & post your work etc., however, becoming a member of this group will not insure your participation in future activities of The Verbal Artist. To become a full fledged member, please join the forum community. Veteran Verbal Artist, please beware that this group is currently wide open to the public, unlike the forum community.

Forum Mission Statement: "The Verbal Artist is a forum community created on May 28th 2004 for poets, lyricist, artist, writers, and readers; beginners included. Our group is not based in one particular state or country, but we are an English speaking group that welcomes all races, however we do specialize in urban arts & African descent affairs. We aim to keep a positive and friendly environment where people can share and grow with like minded individuals. The internet is full of places where chaotic rude behavior is welcomed, but this isn't one of those places, and we hope that will be appreciated because love is the greatest power and is a foundation built of rock. The Verbal Artist is a place of growth and artistic freedom. We give and receive constructive criticism in a gracious and thoughtful manner. Our humble forum community is an oasis in the desert. The Verbal Artist plans to expand and we know that the sky isn't the limit. Poetry and Art capture the heart of living and we want to share this gift with others.
