From director Michael Mann (Collateral and Heat) and Oscar winning actor Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell, Miami Vice is an update of the classic 80s cop show that not only had an impact on the style of the 80s, but the way television dramas are produced. The 2006 film promises, in classic Mann style, a down to earth gritty character driven cop drama, that promises to be right up there with such Mann classics like Collateral and Heat. In the film Crocket (Farrell) and Tubbs (Foxx) take on Florida drug lords. If Miami Vice the movie is a success, it could be said that Miami Vice is not just a relic of the 80s.
