every mon: Amnesty International meets 8PM mondays, russell house 315
every tues: students allied for a greener earth meetings at 8pm
in the living and learning center of west quad. Columbia
every wed: Women in black (peace vigil) from 5pm to 6pm at the state house
in columbia in front of the state flag monumnet, (same one as the rebel flag)
sponsored by cprc. (no you dont have to be a woman, and no you dont have to wear black, as i found out later)
every sat: Bring them home now (peace vigil) rain or shine
from 1pm to 2pm at the fountain in 5pts in columbia.
every sat: Charleston Propeace Community Weekly Walking Vigil
11am at the fountain in Marion Square during Farmers Market season
and at the Custom House in the winter.
every sun: Columbia Food Not Bombs meets from 1pm to 2pm in Finlay park
behind the post office on assembly st, turn onto taylor st.
3rd Tuesday of each month: Charleston Peace meets
at the Port City Java on the corner of Calhoun Street
and Rutledge Avenue in Charleston, at 6:30.
Columbia Critical Mass Bicycle Riders, meets at the intersection of Lincoln st and Blossom St.
at the USC Greek Village in columbia. Days and times vary.

Downtown you have a Pita Pit, Little Italy (cheap pizza, subs, and calzones),
Transmet (best veggie pizza ever as well as subs and calzones),
Taco Stand (which quite possibly owns me since I love cheap "mexican food" ),
Mellow Mushroom, and a bunch of other things,
but these are the best options for easy and cheap.

Castle Olympus has shows once or twice a month and has also just opened up
a free progressive library and will be broadcasting a pirate radio show soon. (Update: The Castle has toppled, unfortunately this venue along with Athens 666 Pulaski St have been shut down. What on earth are we doing kids? Why does the man always shut us down?)
