hey my name is matt, poetry is the bomb, and I'm not afraid to admit it. so I started my own myspace group for it. if you wanna get a taste of what kind of poetry I like you can read pretty much anything by charles simic more specifically his book "jackstraws"  
I like a lot of contemporary modern stuff. its more my style but I also like things like Kahlil Gibran - Eye of the Prophet and "The Spoon River Anthology" (which are the shit,btw) by Edgar Lee Masters...what a cool name. especially for a poet.
the pictures that are posted in the group photos are suppose to be representative of poetry in motion(if its from a film) or poetry at a stand still, one particular section in time captured. I left it open so that you guys can feel free to post pictures of you own to show us.

So I originally intended for the bullitens to be for posting poetry and for the forum to post about all things related to poetry...I prefer the bulletin posting style(for poetry) to the forums posting.
however I like the fact that the forum allows people to comment on your work and for other people to see the comments and comment on them too. but there are plus and minuses with that depending on your comfort level so! if your more comfortable posting in the bulletin are and having peoples comments be discreet and delivered to you, or just prefer the style like me then go for the bullitens. if your down with open forum then go for that too. everybody's got their own style.
