The journey these entertainers had been on since the beginning of their careers had been very much a journey into manhood which inspired the name "Odysy". Taking the experiences they had learned, Odysy brings a new energy to the stage. Also up until now, most musical groups have not been multi-racial.
"With Odysy you get the best of both worlds, urban and suburban," says E-luv. Under the eye of Eric Cui, Jaxum Records CEO, and mentoring from some of the most established names on the Philadelphia music scene, the group has molded into a style of music they would describe as "Street Pop", to emphasize their smooth and soulful vocals. "You can't really describe this kind of sound," says Jesse, "it's totally left-field of every one that's out now".
A perfect example of Odysy's "Street Pop" sound would be in their Valentine's Day hit "Would U Be.." in which they got a chance to collaborate with Santalina, an established artist on Jaxum Records.
