As my profile's name puts it, this group is for a citizen press revolution.

Already even politicians are being impacted by "bloggers", the usage of the internet for the news has increased from 0% when the Internet came out to 22% and it is increasing each year.

With the internet, the public is steadily gaining back access and representation in the free press meant to act its watchdog and not the lapdog of corporations and politicians. Even the mainstream media and politicians are creating blogs of their own.

We, individually, are a part of the media reform movement. We have been forced to be a watchdog of the lapdog corporate press. We are much closer to the definition and ideals of a "free press" than what corporate media has become.

We are a part of a revolution of words that is becoming noticed and what I call the citizen press revolution.

We aren't gullible enough to rely on the corporate media to act as our watchdog. We are learning to become our own watchdogs and our own voice. By doing so, we are liberating the "free press" from the corporate press.

We are for media reform movement and a part of the citizen press revolution.

This group is to help us organize together as citizen journalists for both matters of citizen journalism and for media reform.
