We are the Americans For Hemp local Los Lunas branch. We seek to educate our fellow citizens on the realities of industrial grade hemp and why we believe it MUST be re-legalized in the United States.

*America is the only industrialized democracy that does not produce an annual hemp crop. Why? Hemp is classified as Marijuana by the federal government. Hemp is not Marijuana. It can not get you high. In fact, hemp is the "anti-marijuana". If smoked it will actually kill a "buzz", not increase it.

The dangers of cross-pollination generating future streins of hemp higher in thc are not factual. Quite the opposite, cross-pollination between hemp and marijuana would serve to diminish the thc content of any future instances of marijauna growing from the seeds resulting from such a union.

We invite you to join this group and become an active member in the campaign. Consider applying for a board member position.

We have the full support of the national campaign. They will provide all of the resources neccessary to effect social change and foster better understanding of hemp within our local area.

We will petition the pubic to support the passing of HR3037 and maintain daily and weekly contact with representative Heather Wilson;both in her Washington and her Albuquerque office.

Once a minimum of 50 petition signatures have been attained the National campaign will ship out supplies (i.e.-t-shirts, flyers, banners, etc) Also, a press-release will be issued and sent to our local newspapers regarding the creation of the latest branch of the Americans For Hemp Campaign, Los Lunas, New Mexico Branch.

Thank you for your participation and involvement.

Sincerely,

C.W. Alexander
Branch Director
