Naturally, cockatiels live predominately in Australia. The natural color of a cockatiel is gray, the crest and face yellow, and cheeks orange. Pet cockatiels show in the popular lutino (white,) pied (patches of dark and light feathers,) cinnamon, and pearl. Besides the Budgie, it is the most popular of parrots, but it is hardier and lives longer (cockatiel lifespan 15-20 years compared to the budgies 7-8.) These pets can perform tricks, whistle tunes, and talk.
