This group is dedicated to bring together DJ's, organizations and others with an interest in the art of turntablism. What was started by Kool-Herc in the 70's has developed into a serious artform to be reckoned with. Today the turntable can be seen as a instrument with many capabilities. In the early days, this artform, then known as "dj-ing", was part of (and still is) part of the hip-hop culture. Now it has developed into something where it is also embraced by other artforms and musical genres and thus creating a new scene of musicians: turntablists
This group is not only aimed at scratch DJ's. It is open to all DJ's who use the turntable not only to play records with , but who manipulate it and create something new with it. (no not throwing it out of the window (lol))
This can vary from a pure turntablist to a mix-dj who uses trickmixing in his or her sets.
Also, the group is for all turntablists , from professional to bedroom dj, so please feel free to invite others.
