WELCOME TO THE FRIENDS AND FANS OF 28N GROUP SITE....This is a place for you all of you fine folks and crazy kids to talk about the band and their happenings.....shows, albums and pretty much anything else that you may find important.....Hopefully making it easier for everyone to communicate about attending shows, setlists, albums, downloads and whatever else. I will try to keep everyone updated on any news including upcoming shows, setlists and things of that nature. Please post topics at will. ENJOY!

Whoever said that high school romance can’t last apparently didn’t fall for the same temptress as childhood friends Lowell Stringer and Nate Stengrevics did back in 1997. She had a guitar riff for a mind, a bass line for a backbone, a drum beat for a heart, and her name was 28N. Their music and the desolate winding road by the same name are the only escape from the tiny mountain town where it all began. A dwindling population near 500, a one-building school that graduates an average class of five, and an intensely beautiful seclusion are the defining traits of Newcomb, New York.

Half of their lives have been spent making music together, with their first experience coming as members of their school’s touring stage band under the direction of Nate’s father. Learning music from the same teacher, and growing up together as musicians in a band is a situation rarely seen, and a sound seldom heard!

28N is seclusion; band and road, soul and searching, and "the path less-traveled has made all the difference." - Robert Frost
