I'm finally changing the text that reads up here.



First, I'd like to thank everybody who has joined and contributes to this group. It's hard to find a decent group on Myspace it seems where intellectual people can come and discuss things without everything turning into a pissing match of insults. I intend this group to be such a group.



There are other options in groups you can use, of course, and I realize that many of you may get other invites for debate groups quite often. (As a matter of fact, it appears THIS very group is a target for people starting new groups...I suppose that says somethign good about the people in here.) However, my aim is to make this a better option than other groups by having it be 3 things:



1. Busier than other groups.

2. Cleaner than other groups.

3. Less reliant on topics like "What's your favorite fruit?" and "If you were a car, which would you be?". I'm not saying that these aren't fun to discuss at times, but they have a tendency to overrun better topics at times.



If you feel that either one of those things isn't happening, let me know...especially if people are out of hand. Having a group with "no rules" like some others may say seems inviting, but when some people start creating trouble just for the sake of doing so, that isn't so attractive anymore...and it isn't tolerated here.



Other than that, PLEASE message me and let me know what you think of this group. I'd appreciate it. And once again, thank you for being a part of it.
