I know all of you are in many other groups, and It gets very hard to keep up with them all. Many of you have groups of your own and I don't want to complicate things for you but I thought it would be a good idea to provide more support for each other in direct relation to our cause. Each of you that I have invited I know is dedicated to helping Pitbulls in some important way. If you decide to join the group please make sure you introduce yourself and feel free to talk about your dogs or any rescue/fostering that you do. There is a pinned topic where you can do this at.

This group will be a smaller group, where rescue organizations can ask some active suppoters to get the word out about various issues they need help with. Active supporters and Rescues can work together, get information from each other and become more organized through discussion and mutual agreement. There is strength in numbers and we need all the strength we can get to win the fight against BSL.

I have left the option for members to invite their friends but I ask that you PLEASE only invite ACTIVE pitbull supporters and other rescue organizations.

For the reason that It is difficult to be certain that a breeder is responsible for their conduct in referance to the safety, genetics and placement, I prefer not to have breeders discuss breeding practices, as a member of this group. I do however understand that without responsible experienced breeders we wouldn't have a breed to love this much and if you are one of those responsible breeders I am very sorry that much of the time you are left out of a fight you surely wish to be a part of.

A couple of easy rules:

1) This is certainly not a place to sell puppies. There are plenty of other groups out there for that.

2) No one is ever allowed to talk about their preferances pertaining to ear cropping. Love it or hate it, it's a big NO NO in here, because it seems to make people lose their minds. Same goes for the topic of spaying/neutering.

3) Never cuss AT anyone. If you feel the need to be that angry take some deep cleansing breaths say wu-sah a few times and then tell a joke instead. Immediate deletion will insue if profanity is ever used towards another group member. So cuss away at things that bother you as long as those things are not other group members!

4) Final thought on disagreements. They happen. Many have different opinions, if you want to have it out with someone in this group or just think they said something wrong send them a private message.

Rescue and Support is for open friendly discussion that makes forward progress towards the goal of , saving the abused and abandoned, educating those who are not as knowlegable, and stopping legislation which takes our rights away. I don't expect we need to decide whether dogs should have their ears cropped considering it won't make much differance if they're all gone. In other words the only thing I absolutely won't put up with in any shape or form is the arguing and bickering I see in many other pitbull groups. In america as part of our civil rights, we can have freedom of speech and there is nothing wrong with differing opinions, but I created this group as an area of effectiveness and I'll not see anyone work against the ultimate goal here.

Here we are all together. Here we all have the SAME mission.




We do a round robin for the group photo, so if you'd like to share pictures of your dog it will eventually end up being the group photo! Keep an eye out for your dog and feel free to share information about him/her!
