My story: I'm just a white boy who lived in a Detroit Suburb and heard my first rap song around late 82/early83. I was about 9. I was hooked from then on out. I love all kinds of music but i still hold Old School Rap above everything else. Some of the first songs i can remember hearing were Electric Kingdon and Jam on it. I recently lost my old records in a freak accident. But i still have most of the songs in one way or another.
I'll skip the well known groups like Run-D.M.C., Beastie Boys, and LL Cool J and list some of the more Obscure Groups and M.C.'s. What the hell i'll just add what i want lol:

Newcleus, Twilight 22, Afrika Bambaataa & The SoulSonic Force, Egyptian Lover, Fat Boys, Skinny Boys, U.T.F.O., Whodini, The Masterdon Comittie, Kurtis Blow, Eric B & Rakim, Doug E. Fresh & The Get Fresh Crew, Slick Rick, Rock Master Scott & The Dynamic 3, Captain Rock, Dr. Jeckyll & Mr. Hyde, Dana Dane, L.A. Dream Team, Pretty Tony, Grand Master Flash & The Furious Five, Melle Mel, Hashim, Marley Marl, Mc Shan.

Thats a start anyway. I got a few Old School Rap Magazines from the 80's i'll get around to scanning and posting soon.

This Poll is just for fun. I know theres probably alot of albums missing off of it. Probably because i never owned it or never heard of it. A majority of the songs i owned were on 12", 45, or the dozens of compilations i have. Vote for all your favorites.

I might make a poll of the best songs of all time next. Message me if you have any input.
