Legend Tripping is the name of a TV Pilot produced by CutThroat Films for Pilgrim Films and Television.
Growing up in a small town, and traveling around a lot, I know that anywhere you go, there are haunted legends. Whether it be a road, a house, an abandoned building, or a school, every town has its ghost story, those stories we grew up listening to.
But is there any proof as to the validity of these legends? Many times, we want the answers to those questions. So, we pile into a car with a bunch of our friends on an otherwise boring Friday night, and we head out to the cemetary supposedly haunted by a ghost of one form of another. That, right there, is Legend Tripping. It's all about that adolescent rite of passage.
Legend Tripping isn't about the science behind paranormal investigations. It is a show grounded in the roots of what draws people into ghost hunting in the first place. It's about the thrill, not the science. You can not prove to a skeptic that ghosts exist, no matter how much evidence you have. And hence, that is not the purpose of the show. It's just about a group of friends going out to haunted locations, and checking them out. But it's more than that, too. It's about examining the stories behind the legends, it's about getting those directions off the internet, and searching desperately for the location, it's about the fun you have before you even get there joking around in the car.
I am a big fan of Ghost Hunters, but for those of us who like these types of shows, that's pretty much the only choice out there. Seeing as nothing else was coming out, I decided that we would take matters into our own hands, and create a show ourselves. We have finished filming the Pilot episode, whch revolves around two Ohio locations, Gore Orphanage and Moonville Tunnel. That said, if the show is picked up, we will be traveling all around the country to explore all the legends every town, big or small, has to offer. Odds are, we will end up coming to your neck of the woods, too, and investigating locations that you've heard stories about all your life.
If you are interested in seeing Legend Tripping on television, please join this group. We will be forwarding this address to the executives at Pilgrim so that they can see the flood of support this show is getting. If you want to see another paranormal show on television, now is the time to let your voice be heard. Now is the time to let people know.
Thank you from all of us at CutThroat Films
