The non-profit organization Invisible Children is a group of people who discovered the story of the century in Northern Uganda. While many of us are not aware, there has been a war going on in Uganda between the LRA (Lord's Resistance Army) and the Government of Uganda, there has been, for the past 20 years. However, what makes this war so special is that the LRA is using children as their soldiers. Children that they have abducted from the safety of their homes, abused, brain washed, taught to kill, and in most cases are killed. Children that are now terrified for their lives that they commute to hospitals every night to sleep in safety. What the Invisible Children organization is trying to do is raise money ($20 million to be exact) in order to build a safe community where children can live, learn, and grow in safety.
