The original purpose of this group was for the discussion and planning of the annual Houston Comix and Zine Festival, but it is now a group for the general discussion of zine or small press events (festivals, workshops etc.).

(The Houston Comix and Zine Festival is an exhibition and celebration of comics, minicomics, zines, self-publishing, diy etc. and a grassroots effort to promote and encourage the creation of independent art and media.)
