Welcome to the Corndogs Clubhouse -- the official MySpace group of Taos Cooperative's Mighty Corndogs Baseball Club!

ABOUT US - The Mighty Corndogs Baseball Club is both an athletic and social association. While providing opportunities for playing baseball, we also schedule dinners, pub crawls, formal balls, and other festive occasions. Individuals may acquire membership only by election; the club conscientiously tries to keep out those who have a quarrelsome disposition.
Beginning in the early 1990s, the Taos Corndogs regularly toured the city issuing challenges to teams in the Austin Hispanic Baseball League, Austin Metro Baseball League and others. Even the best of these league teams feared the barnstorming Corndogs. In recent years the Corndogs' game schedule has been scaled back to intraclub exhibition games and games against cross-campus rivals The 21st Street Mothers and Pearl Street Pirates.

THE CO-OP LEAGUE - The College Houses Cooperatives Old-Time Sandlot Base Ball League is an amateur league operating in Austin Texas since 1994. Unofficially dubbed the Last Chance League, the league quickly became known as the "Co-op League." It has been one of the leading amateur leagues in Central Texas for over a decade with four teams: Taos Corndogs, Pearl Street Panthers (later renamed Pirates), 21st Street Motherfuckers and Laurel-Opsis Lobsters. Though the league has stood for a span of 12 years, it has witnessed only two interruptions. Play between the Corndogs and Mothers was suspended during the 2000 season. Though it's future is uncertain, the Co-op remains one of the most significant low amateur league operations in the history of the American Amateur Baseball Confederacy.
