As most of you should know, due to an irresponsible breeder/broker... he exposed a group of PD's (short for Prairie Dog) to monkey pox from a wild Gambian Pouched rat from Africa.

This rat was not properly quarantined... thus infected the entire animal stock at this breeders location.

The prairie dogs were infected... and got a few people ill (as did 2 rabbits). The CDC placed a ban on importing the animals that could potentially bring monkey pox disease into the USA... but the FDA and USDA still decided to put a permanent BAN on purchasing Prairie Dogs.

PD owners and exotic pet owners/lovers need to unite and pester the FDA, USDA and White House into dropping the ban. Be polite please!
