This group has been started because I am presently working on a book entitled "The Gospel According to Oz-Seeing Oz Through Christian Eyes." The book will chronologically look at the "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" book by L. Frank Baum and see how it corresponds to a Christian worldview. Baum, apparently, unintentionally has written a book that is a near perfect allegory for the Christian life. Unfortunately the experience of most Ozites with Christians has been one of contempt and censorship, simply because of good and evil witches existing together in Oz. I hope we can overcome these obstacles to build bridges between Christianity and Oz. Let's talk about it. We must think out of the box. I encourage that friendly dialogue here.
