This group is mainly for practioners of traditional Goju Ryu Karate-do to encourage discussion on karate topics such as kata, kata bunkai and kumite, competition insights and generally all aspects of karate training.

I have named the group after the organisation in which I train, Yamaguchi Goju Ryu (IKGA). The IGKA (International Goju-Kai Association) practices traditional Goju Ryu Karate-do and was founded by Gogen "The Cat" Yamaguchi. The IKGA is a truely international association that has clubs in over 60 countries all over the world and it's headquarters based in Tokyo Japan. The Yamaguchi Goju-Kai Association (YKGA) is the English branch of the association.
