This festival is dedicated to all things undead. We want to highlight various filmmakers creative attempts to show the undead in new and unexpected ways. We are now going into our second year and we are already flooded with great submissions. Check out our Zompire website in the future for updates!

Here is what the Press had to say last year.

The Dead Invade — Geek in the City
I love the Undead. Probably more then a sane and healthy person should. There isn’t any logical reason for my obsession with the shambling flesh. I like them when they are used for comedy, I like them when they are used for social commentary, and I like them when they are used the scare the beejebees out of me. In fact, the only time I don’t like them is when they run! ...

Portland Mercury
What're the two coolest things in the world? That's easy. ZOMBIES and VAMPIRES. Lucky for you, Zompire: The Undead Film Festival hits the Hollywood Theatre this weekend, with six zombie/vampire films—including classics like Return of the Living Dead, Night of the Comet, and Peter Jackson's Dead Alive. Stock up on stakes and various beheading instruments, then have the time of your life. -- EH

Willamette Week Pick
It's 11 hours of living-dead mayhem spread out over two nights, and there's not a bad film in the bunch. Friday is Vampire Nite, with Fright Night, the super badass Hammer Studios classic Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter, and a late secret screening. Saturday is Zombie Nite, featuring the 1980s cult hit Night of the Comet, the Peter Jackson splatter-fest Dead Alive, and the über-classic Return of the Living Dead, one of the funniest comedies of all time. -- DAVID WALKER
