J.P. Stevens High School is a highly regarded public school with over 2,150 students which, despite some unique challenges and conditions, continues to succeed in sending over 94% of it's graduates to college. Serving a multi-cultural community, we are among the vanguard of large comprehensive high schools in New Jersey that educate students from widely diverse backgrounds. Although the diverse cultures, values, customs, languages, traditions, and religious influences span a wide range, they merge here to form a very special blend of educational experience.
In the national and state testing J. P. Stevens has done remarkably well. Our SAT scores are outstanding with an average of 1109. In fact, each time New Jersey monthly Magazine has published it's list of Top 75 public high schools in New Jersey, J.P. Stevens was included (most recently listed as 47). John P.
