The banning of Nuclear Weapons was the very first resolution past by the U.N. The effects of a nuclear weapon are not like a typical bomb, rather then simply destroying its target in a single blast the radiation poison can ling from 10 years to 50,000 depending on the weapon used. Nuclear disasters have been the worst in history, ranging from Chernobyl, Nagasaki/Hiroshima, and the victims of nuclear testing such as the American Downwinders, natives of Marshall Island and Bikini Atoll etc. I could go on a rant about the effects of Nuclear technology, but I think the facts speak for themselves...

Nuclear blasts have given millions of people cancer and polluted the land, air and water all over the world, and it will be thousands of years before it will be the same again. Ranging from Nuclear Power Plants, Testing to Warfare, the use of nuclear technology continues to poison the earth decades after its use. Inspite of the many treaties and U.N. resolutions, many nations still have and continue to build nuclear weapons. Even when we have enough to kill every human being on earth at least 3 times and end the earth 25 times over, we keep adding more to the stockpile.
