Ancestors Weaving The Fiber of Reconciliation with the Diaspora
The Traditional Rulers of Benin, West Africa and parts of Yorubaland have long prepared for the return of the lost children of the Motherland. Ouiah, Benin was one of the largest and most prolific slave ports in West Africa.
The aim of the African Reconciliation Diasporic Project is to address the issues facing Diasporic Africans which resulted from their enforced enslavement. Our mission is to assist in the reconciliation between Diasporic Africans and the Traditional Rulers and Tribal Chiefs, who admit their complicity in what has become the most horrific case of genocide the world has ever known.
Benin is offering apologies from those in a position to do so, dual citizenship and land reserves, along with restoration to each African descendant's pre-slavery position.
The African family has been fragmented as a result of the genocide. Our honorable ancestors calls for atonement and restoration as a beginning point in reconciling the global African family. The truth about what actually happened after we were taken has come out, and will be transmitted to all of the children of Mother Africa. We were missed, we were, and still are loved, and when selling no longer worked, the slave traders emptied out entire villages in raids.
We all realize that 500 years of estrangement has exposed our diversity of interests and worldviews amongst the various African groups. On the one hand, there are new ways to express unity and cross the boundaries that have divided us. On the other hand, there are also clashes of culture, religions, economic interests and genders, a sense of abandonment and resentment which leave a legacy of hurt and injury.
The restoration and resulting coronation of Her Royal Grace, Princess Ademide Adinasse, daughter of the Oba Aleketu, West Africa pushed the project forward. The Princess, along with her fiancée, Dr. Mustafa Ansari, Chief Justice of the Indigenous African American Reparations Tribunal are following the lead of her family, the Traditional Rulers to spread the message of reconciliation to all points in the African Diaspora. The Princess and Dr. Ansari are joined by a host of International Human Rights attorneys, economists, historians, psychologists, linguists, and a large grassroots international grassroots movement to begin the process of reconciliation, repair and reparations.
A human restorative prototype has been developed with plans to present it to the Traditional Rulers and Tribal Chiefs for ratification. The human restorative process is understood in different ways in various times and places. As of late, it has been connected with conciliation and rehabilitation from the crime of genocide, in such places as South Africa and Rwanda. Further, the language of repair has come to the fore in many different contexts, including the Criminal Justice system.
We will all continue to work on any and all initiatives which would contribute to the reconstruction of the global African family unit. through processes of truth and reconciliation. Each member of the African family is called upon to help bring about conciliation and peace and not allow our differences to divide us. The repentance of the Tribal Chiefs and Traditional Rulers should bring about a sense of security and an awareness of a connection to the Motherland from whence Diasporic Africans were taken. Each side of the Atlantic should strive to do what is best to overcome any and all barriers to reconciliation.
The African Diasporic Reconciliation Project will assist in the facilitation of the healing process which has been long over due.
