Welcome to the myspace group page for Nu Image Film release, “Segregated Sunday” starring Lawrence Bishop and L.G. Wise.
I have created this group for my pastor's film. I will keep you all updated on the progress of the film.
“Inspired by a true story Sonny (Lawrence Bishop) and Deshawn (L.G.Wise) share an emotional story of two Christian musicians from two very different backgrounds who are forced to face issues of painful pasts and racism. Join them as the embark on a remarkable quest for healing and reconciliation in this compassionate and compelling story of survival and triumph.” ~ www.segregatedsunday.com
Lawrence and L.G. join forces to deliver a powerful message. We are all God’s children. So why can’t we all just get along. He created us all. He created us for Him. We all belong to Him. I have heard Pastor Lawrence say that the churches that God is really blessing, the churches that are growing are the ones which are multi-cultural. He has often told of him and Darlene visiting churches and walking away with a sense that something was wrong. The problem is that “it was all vanilla” Lawrence says.
1 John 4:20 “If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?”
Lawrence Bishop co-pastors Solid Rock Church in Monroe, OH with his wife Darlene Bishop. Solid Rock Church is a non-denominational church that welcomes people of all cultures. Lawrence is also a singer, songwriter who just released his new bluegrass cd, “Old Fashioned Not Outa Style.”
L.G. Wise has released numerous hip hop Christian cds.
The Soundtrack for “Segregated Sunday” features music by Lawrence Bishop II and includes the hit song “Sad Sunday.” (release date TBA).
