Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

human. God is faithful and will not let

with the trial he will also provide a way

Hi everyone,

Please pass this info on to anyone & everyone you know out in
the Simi Valley area who might be interested in
donating!

Thanks!!

***************************

Meet Hailey Joy Kent, who is 8 months old and lives
with her twin brother, Ryan and family in Simi Valley,
CA. Hailey has Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) along
with a rare blood type (O-). She has an ongoing need
for blood and platelets to keep up with her
transfusions between chemotherapy treatments in an
effort to get her into remission. Recently, Hailey
relapsed and now desperately needs a stem cell or
marrow transplant to save her life. Her brother,
Ryan, is not a suitable match for her, so an unrelated
marrow donor needs to be found.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training
program has partnered with the National Marrow Donor
Program to hold two marrow drives in Simi Valley in
Hailey’s honor. The dates are:

Saturday, March 24th,2007
Ralph’s Grocery Store
2726 E. Los Angeles Ave.
Simi Valley, CA
10am – 4pm

Saturday, May 12th,2007
Simi Valley Street Fair
On Cochran Ave
(between Sequioa & Galena Ave)
Simi Valley, CA
9am – 5pm

Hailey is among more than 200,000 people who suffer
from leukemia and related deadly blood cancers in the
U.S. alone. Their suffering affects the lives of
millions. This year, another 35,000 U.S. residents
will be diagnosed. More than 22,000 will die...
including almost 1,000 children. The good news is that
thanks to the generosity of millions who give to fund
research, survival rates have improved from just 14%
in 1960, to better than 49% today. And living with
blood cancer is getting easier too, with better
patient care and improved family support.

Please join hundreds of others in your community and
RSVP to be tested to see if you are a marrow match for
Hailey or thousands of other patients who are awaiting
a bone marrow transplant. The process takes less than
10 minutes and is as simple as completing a
confidential medical questionnaire and a cheek swab!
