What is Love?

If I speak as an angel, but have not love, I am a clanging cymbal.
If I understand all mysteries and knowledge, but have not love, I am nothing.
If I give all I have to the poor, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast.
It is not rude or self-seeking, or easily angered. It keeps no record of wrongs.

Love rejoices with truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.

Prophesy will cease; tongues will be stilled; knowledge will pass away.
We know in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.
Now we see as reflected in a mirror; then we shall see face to face.
Now we know in part; then we shall know fully, even as we are fully known.

There is faith, hope and love, and Love is the Greatest!
