After watching the eye-opening movie, "Who killed the electric car?", I was inspired to create this group in order to spread the knowledge about electric cars. I hadn't even realized that electric cars were put on the road in California in the late 90's!! I'm also pretty confident to say that the majority of Americans aren't aware of this fact either. It was more shocking to hear that, for multiple reasons, these cars were not given the chance to be mass produced and sold to consumers and that they were eventually taken away from the people who bought them, only to be crushed and shred into a million pieces!!!

I belive that if there is enough demand, WE CAN BRING THEM BACK!! Hybrid's are a great start, and can be a gateway to going completely electric (again). With the critical state of our planet (global warming, pollution) WE (as Americans, as HUMANS) MUST DO SOMETHING! If the technology has been created, it must be available to us!! We must demand it!!
