Our reliability on high stake testing scores has become a major problem in our countries educational program and is not a subject to be taken lightly. Many people are unaware of the pressure "high stakes" are putting on schools and how test results are inappropriately used to evaluate schools, teachers, administrators and students.
To students out there: maybe its time to learn what the STAR is really all about besides the annoying 2 week intrusion on your regular school schedule every year and the tedious bubble filling.
To Parents: Perhaps you are unaware of the impact High Stakes are having on your local school and child. This problem is real and is slowly taking its toll on schools across the country. Educate yourself.
