The O.C.M.R.A. is a group for men and women who wish to study the arts, crafts, and way of life of midieval Europe in a safe and friendly enviroment.
Aside from engauging each other in line, skirmmish, and single combat, we are also interested in other aspects of midieval history and arts. Such interests range from Blacksmithing and Woodworking, to Caligraphy and Weaving, all who share and add insight to these studies are welcome to join and become a part of our unique brother hood.
Our goals for the momment are to find and recruit men and women who are interested in engauging in mideval combat. We would like a steady base of people who would like to advance them selves as warriors, in a safe and friendly enviroment. We would also like to invite those who have a background, or are knowledgable in the arts of the period.
Long term however we would like to hold events and tournaments throughout Oakland County and the surrounding areas for such practices and professions.
We are currently located in Oakland County, and actively looking for members in the Auburn Hills, Clarkston, Novi, Romeo, Waterford and Wixom areas. However, if you show good spirit, don't mind being hit, and are able to drive or obtain a ride to our meetings we will happy to have you.
As a side note, we are not affiliated with nor a part of the Society for Creative Anachronism (S.C.A.), although we bare some similarities.
For any question reguarding the O.C.M.R.A. direct them to Brian, or Dan.
