This myspace group is for all those who have known and loved Dave Wood, whose sweet heart and kind and gentle spirit stirred our hearts and touched our lives.
We miss you so much, Dave. Words cannot express it.
For those of you who are receiving this group invitation not knowing what happened, on Sunday, June 24th before 10am, Dave took his own life. Please pray for Dave's family. As you can imagine this has got to be an unbelievably difficult thing to go through.
Dave had a deeply-rooted belief in Jesus Christ and trusted Christ as his Saviour, whom Dave believed was the only way to the Kingdom of Heaven where man can be at peace with God. While he tread this earth, he believed that he would be among the angels--at peace and with joy immeasurable--when he got to heaven.
We know God will take care of you, Dave.
The funeral/memorial is to be held on Saturday at 10 am. Services will be held at Calvary Chapel of Southeastern Connecticut located at 126 Sharp Hill Road in Montville, Ct. 1-860-848-7400. After the Memorial Service, Dave's Dad is having a cookout at the Pavillon at Camp Oakdale. Directions will be provided at the church for those that don't know where it is. Hotdogs and Hamburgers will be furnished and the family is asking that anything anyone wants to bring will be much appreciated. They so look forward to seeing many of you there!

UPDATE:
Hello friends,
There will be a memorial held at the University of Connecticut in the memory of our dear friend, Dave. It will be on Friday, October 19, 2007 from 3pm-5pm at the Student Union Theatre (at the north end of the Student Union) at the Storrs Campus. It is open to everyone and there will be a period for open mic, so we encourage those who want to say a few words about him, to prepare what you would like to say. Thank you all so much.
