Etsy Comics and Zines - Team Profiles
Our Etsy Thread - MOST OF OUR INFO IS HERE - http://www.etsy.com/forums_thread.php?thread_id=5166085
A ’street team’ is a group of people who choose to get together, based on either location (which is where the name street team comes from - traditionally it’s people in your city) or based on interest (what you make, a common goal, etc) and promote Etsy! It’s a great way to meet like minded people in the area where you live, or around the world.
Groups can choose to promote Etsy by organizing shows or events in their city, representing etsy at festivals or other large events, online sales, banding together to split the cost of advertising, creating charity projects, etc. some teams meet regularly in person to plan their events or have a skill share or just be social, other teams meet only virtually to plan their events and get things done. most active Etsy street teams have webspaces that they communicate through (like yahoo groups or flickr groups) or blogs or regular webpages, and flickr groups to show off their crafts and post photos of their events. As a team becomes more organized and established, some choose to open an Etsy shop to raise money for a charity or to cover the cost of a team event or advertising.
We meet weekly in the workshops to share tips and ideas, suggest ways to improve the Street Teams and discuss goals and events.

Now, it's up to you guys to take charge and make it happen!
