Running Back to Glory began in the summer of 2006 with the idea that there is more to this life than money, jobs, or even school: There is a bold, worry-free life just waiting for all of us! A life that gives us all a chance to be heroic and be loved. It's a life that is lived for God regardless of joy or suffering, feast or famine, peace or sword, popularity or rejection: A life that says, "Jesus is my best bud, and there isn't a thing this world can do to me because of that!"

At the same time, RBtG is also a band that proclaims the PAIN that a Christian life brings; that everything is not always perfect and sometimes discouragement and doubt are thrown in the "Jesus freaks" vat and mixed in to provide more solidity.


Now, RBtG has turned its sights to an immediate need and a defining goal: To swing America's pendulum of values, morals, and conduct back the other direction, toward its foundations.

Do you KNOW where you live?

In a nation that began with its roots buried deep in biblical texts and teachings, it is hard to believe that American teachers can't pray with their students, that preachers have been arrested in their own churches for speaking against homosexual practices (NOT desires, mind you...just acting upon those desires), that grocery store employees can't say, "Merry Christmas," but only "Happy Holidays," that supreme court justices would now be fired for quoting the Bible to justify their rulings (as was common in the past), that every member of the body is precious and valued, except what is inside the womb, that universities and states are removing any religious symbols from seals, court houses, and offices: It's hard to believe that Christians fear the shadow of the 50 states more than the shadow of God, that Christians feel that politics can somehow be separated from God in a world that He owns, that the Cross has become the latest fashion accessory for the criminal, rather than the ultimate symbol of humanity's protection, that Jesus is the latest hilarious punch line of cartoons...

Many Christian-Americans are wallowing in their own wealth and self-indulgence while the philanthropy of the nation declines, while the lawmakers pass immoral laws, while restrictions on religious practices are closing in and tightening the reigns: Was our country not founded for the sanctity of religious freedom? Was our country not founded on the basis of biblical morals?

RBtG has seen and understood that there is no such thing as riding the fence because no one has that good of a balance; you must fall to a side. If the American Nation uproots itself completely (as some fear it already has) in an attempt to abide in religious neutrality, it will fall to the other side and the nation will be destroyed on impact. Nations, not just individuals, will be judged...

1. Keep up with laws that are being decided in congress. If it doesn't seem right to your God-filled heart, write your congressman a letter, politely asking he or she to not support the bill.

2. Always include your state and country's leaders in your prayers (THIS IS THE MOST POWERFUL OPTION). Ask that they will make Godly decisions.

3. If you have any powerful contacts like congressmen, celebrities, senators, state representatives, judges, etc., CALL THEM UP AND TALK TO THEM ABOUT IT!!!

People change the world through doing small things TOGETHER, not by doing everything as one person.

Music has been known to shape our country's beliefs and values. This is how we are helping, but we need a record contract for national exposure so that EVERYONE will hear the music campaign we have planned!
