What

A spiritual buffet for gay Catholics in Texas’ capital city. Dignity Austin is a place for gay and lesbian Catholics and their friends to meet for Mass and share our lives in a variety of social, religious, and occasionally political activities.

Who

We’re many different people.

Most of us are Roman Catholic and most of us are gay or lesbian, and all of us see no contradiction in being both. We believe that God created all persons in love, and many of us believe that being gay is a special spiritual calling. We find Dignity to be a place for worship, for socializing with others like ourselves, and for visiting with our Creator.

Dignity is sometimes political, usually social, and almost always spiritual.

When & Where

We meet for Mass once a month (usually the third Sunday) at various locations in Austin (followed by lunch) and for Steak Night at Charlie’s on Lavaca on the 1st Tuesday of every month. See the bulletins section for the latest meeting times and places.
