Autism is the fastest growing epidemic in this country with 1 in 150 children diagnosed. Illusion is proud to present this must-see play during April, Autism Awareness Month. We hope that the play will continue to touch the lives of people living and working with people on the Autism Spectrum.

Playwright Stacey Dinner-Levin wrote a play called "Autistic License" about her experiences raising a child with autism. "Autistic License" offers a look at the complicated world of a family living with autism and presents audiences with a glimpse of the joys, terrors, rewards, and struggles of raising a child in a world that has far too many opinions on what is normal.

Back by popular demand, Illusion Theater is presenting a series of performances of "Autistic License" during the month of April for Autism Awareness Month. The production is traveling to various locations in the Twin Cities as well as having two performances at Illusion Theater's downtown Minneapolis location.

"Autistic License" was named one of the 10 Best Plays of 2007 by the St Paul Pioneer Press and was recently nominated for the national Theater Critics New Play Award.
