I have been thinking we should have a meeting of all of us in the same room sometime soon, before the actual event, so we can all swap ideas and get to know eachother and coordinate the plan for the day. Please email me with meeting date suggestions. THANK YOU!

NEWS 6/6/2008
The meeting with the manager at Petco went well, she appeared excited to help...however the people at corporate we not as enthusiastic. Stateing that this event is "to radical for the watertown demographic". --sigh-- shot down again because of intolerance and people underestimating the good people of watertown. personally, i think this town is ready. i think this event will go over quite well and have a positive impact, if only we could find a place to give us a chance. you wouldent think helping animals and informing people of the law would be so hard. (yes, it is against the law in NY state to leave dogs chained out...but so many people dont know that...we would be doing to much good informing the public and showing people how awful it is to leave thease animals out) Petco corporation said that if we had a booth or table they would be fine with that, but because we will be chaining ourselves to a doghouse they just cant have that kind of image in front of there store. --sigh again-- the act of actually physically showing people how apaulling and degrading it is to have to be chained up like that all the time is what i feel drives the point home....if you wouldent want to see a person living like that, then why make a dog live like that? ....so a booth would not cover it. i am really having a hard time understanding why so many seem to feel this event is so radical and out there, isent helping animals the point? why do some people have to make it so hard to try and help animals? its mans best friend we are trying to help! maybe it was just my upbringing....i wont rant here...anymore then i already have anyway, haha. just wanted to let you all know whats going on, and i THANK YOU so much for your continued help and support.. im glad to know i have people who are in my corner on this one... any location ideas would be VERY helpful at this point.... ps...ive got a meeting at The Mustard Seed this monday.....hope fully this one will work out for us. :) Also, i have some pamphlets from DDB that we can hand out durning the event. :)
