More than 20 years after the eviction, with the leadership of the International Hotel Citizens Advisory Committee, the Kearny Street Housing Corporation, and in partnership with the Chinatown Community Development Center.
MHF became an integral partner in the rebuilding of the new I-Hotel.

MHF was in the forefront of the preservation of Manilatown and the restoration of the I-Hotel.


The Manilatown Heritage Center is located on first floor of the I-Hotel at 868 Kearny Street@Jackson in San Francisco. The Center is an integral part of the new I-Hotel honoring San Francisco's Manilatown as the heart of the Filipino community throughout the Bay Area. The Center is a community space which houses photography exhibits, provides classes and workshops, and is a venue for visual and performing arts.
