DESTROSE BIOGRAPHY

In the genre of Heavy Metal played by women,
this all-female band fronted and formed by lead guitarist Mina in 2005,
have taken the baton originally passed from The Runaways to Girlschool,
evolving with the music and pushing it further beyond their counterparts to show that metal maidens are here to stay.
Destrose are a orthodox Heavy Metal outfit armed with catchy melodies and choruses that put many of their male contemporaries to shame.

Since signing with YggrDrasill Productions in 2007,
they have quite a stir in various quarters as the young girls’ Metal band,
and have been introduced to Japan with features in various specialist magazines including BURRN! and WE ROCK.


Just a few of their recent events include:
■ Performing with the AKIRA TAKASAKI BAND consisting of AKIRA TAKASAKI of LOUDNESS and TAIJI SAWADA of ex-X(JAPAN)
■ Mina is endorsed by Hagstrom Guitars and was chosen as one of the demonstrators on their stand at the Instrument Fair in 2007.
■ Performing with 5X led by George Azuma, a heavyweight of Japanese Rock world.

You would be wise to catch them now.
These roses are budding and opening fast and with a new album due by summer of 2009,
it will not belong before they are in full bloom and taking to the bigger stages of the world.

2005年12月、Mina(Gt.)を中心に結成。2007年6月に現在のメンバー編成となる。日本では数少ない若手女性メタルバンドとして注目を浴び、 BURRN!、YOUNG GUITAR、We Rockなどの雑誌で紹介される。 2007年11月にLOUDNESSの高崎晃、元X(japan)の沢田泰司らとともに、シークレット・ライブ"ROCK PALS 2007"に出演。またギタリストのMinaはHagstrom Guitar社とエンドース契約している。 DESTROSE(破壊の薔薇)という名の通り、激しさと美しさを兼ね備えた音楽を追究している。
